Our Tutors and Mentors
Tutors provide academic assistance with English vocabulary, reading, writing, and comprehension skills. They also help students understand American idioms and slang while supplying editing services for term papers and reports.
Mentors assist students with their social and cultural adaptation to America by encouraging them to participate in discussions of current events and other social issues.
Tutors/Mentors are screened, selected and trained. A program orientation is provided to all incoming tutors/mentors. They are given a short briefing and are supplied with a Tutor/Mentor Handbook. Sessions are a minimum of two hours a week at any mutually agreeable location, on- and off-campus.
